Eurotrack

Evidence: how well sourced Eurotrack is

Every entry rests on public sources. This page shows openly how dense the evidence is: how many independent sources, whether an archived copy is saved and what only counts as reported. It is recalculated with every run.

Two-source rule: no linked second source yet

Above 1,000 affected or new jobs or above €1bn in volume, an entry needs a second independent source or must be marked as based on reports. These entries do not link a second source yet; for some it is named only in the text, and for infrastructure the main source is often the project owner itself. The daily research adds the links.

How it is counted

Independent means different domains across the main source, further sources and the addresses that older notes still carry in their text. Two articles of the same newspaper count as one source; a wire story picked up by several outlets can still count twice here.

Archived copy means a Wayback Machine snapshot exists for the main source. Based on reports means the headline starts with “Report” (German “Bericht”) or the notes explicitly call the information reported.
