Grand Paris Express is a driverless metro network that adds four new lines (15-18) plus extensions of existing lines 11 and 14 to the Paris Métro, spanning roughly 200 km of track and 68 stations, including links to Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports. Construction has been underway since 2016; by June 2026, 110 km of tunnels and 105 km of double track had been completed, and Line 14 has been fully operational since 2024. Overall completion is targeted around 2031 (Line 15 South opening April 2027), with a further planned Line 19 not due until 2040.
