Vodafone confirms cutting 1,200 jobs across Europe

On 27 July 2026 Vodafone confirmed in its results for the three months to the end of June 2026 that around 1,200 jobs had been cut across European operating companies and group-wide shared operations. Part of the reduction came through natural attrition, with vacated roles left unfilled. The group aims to cut costs and capital spending by around £700m a year by financial year 2030; the backdrop is last year's merger with Three UK and the ongoing network integration. Quarterly revenue rose 10 percent to €8.6bn (figure confirmed by the company itself).
