Vodafone is buying CK Hutchison out of the VodafoneThree joint venture and will become sole owner of the UK's largest mobile operator (over 28 million customers). Completion subject to UK security review expected in H2 2026. Update (3 Aug 2026): Vodafone has completed the purchase of CK Hutchison's 49% stake for GBP 4.3bn and now owns 100% of VodafoneThree; it was funded from existing cash (Advanced Television, 3 Aug 2026).
