Single-source report: according to Sky News, as reported by Expansión, the UK telecoms group (owned equally by Telefónica and Liberty Global) is preparing to cut several thousand of its roughly 16,000 jobs; people close to the company said up to 4,000 could go, mostly in non-customer-facing roles. The backdrop is investor concern over £22bn of debt; a cost-saving target, but no headcount figure, is expected with the quarterly results. The company has not confirmed the report (Expansión, 31 October 2026).
