Belgium's Dumarey group plans to close its plant in the Loire department, which makes manual and automatic transmissions for lorries and buses and was taken over from ZF in October 2023, before the end of 2026; all 266 jobs will go. Staff were told on 23.03.2026 at an informal meeting; the site's revenue halved in 2024 with a loss of around €10m, and planned electric and hydrogen drive projects never materialised.
