Commission pays France final €6.1bn recovery instalment

- On 30.10.2026 the European Commission disburses €6.1bn to France, €306m to Austria and €92.2m to Luxembourg under the Recovery and Resilience Facility
For France it is the fifth and final payment under its recovery plan; linked measures include the energy renovation of more than 1,000 public buildings and almost 400,000 private homes
The payment follows the opinion of the Council's Economic and Financial Committee and the Commission's payment decisions. It follows the positive assessment of France's final payment request on 29.09.2026 (European Commission, press release, 30 Oct 2026).
