Montpellier opens new Boirargues tram stop on line 3

On 4 February 2026, the new Boirargues stop opened on Line 3 of the Montpellier tramway in the commune of Lattes, about 530 metres from the former station of the same name, which was renamed "Soriech". It serves the Boirargues/Mas Rouge residential area (around 3,000 residents) and nearby business parks. Construction ran from August 2025 to February 2026 with about 70 workers and received the "Excellence Environnement" environmental label; no specific investment figure has been published. Note: early press reports (Sept. 2025) had cited a planned opening date of 14 January 2026, but the opening was pushed back to 4 February 2026.
