Thales is buying the Gorgé family's stake in drone, navigation and maritime technology maker Exail and will then offer all other shareholders €134 per share; the enterprise value is about €3.9bn. Exail's earlier talks with Safran had ended without agreement (Inside Unmanned Systems, 6 July 2026). Update (30 July 2026): Thales and Exail have signed the agreement on the offer (Baird Maritime, 30 July 2026).
