Trenitalia France to build €80m maintenance centre near Paris

Trenitalia France is leasing a rail site from SNCF Réseau for 35 years in Maisons-Alfort (Pompadour, Île-de-France) and plans to build a maintenance centre for high-speed trains there; the total investment is about EUR 80 million, and the facility is due to enter service by the end of 2029. It is to operate around the clock, with three tracks for servicing three trains at once plus washing, cleaning and stabling facilities, and at full capacity will hold up to 25 trains; it is also meant to support the future Frecciarossa services between Paris and London through the Channel Tunnel.
