The new Outre-Furan station (formerly "AFPA") opened on 21 January 2026 on the 11.6 km Line T3 of the Saint-Étienne tramway, which runs between Hôpital Nord and Bellevue through the municipalities of Saint-Étienne and Saint-Priest-en-Jarez. It closes a roughly 1 km gap between the existing Soleil and Zénith-Comédie stops, improving access to the Le Soleil neighbourhood and the nearby AFPA training centre, a mosque, and a nursing home; construction started in March 2025. Both platforms are step-free/accessible for people with reduced mobility; no investment figure is stated in the available sources.
