Orange Polska and Dutch pension fund APG had agreed on 22 December 2025 to jointly acquire Polish wholesale fibre operator Nexera from Infracapital for PLN 1.5 billion (around EUR 350 million) and fold it into their existing open-access joint venture Światłowód Inwestycje (adding around 800,000 households, mostly in small towns and rural areas). The European Commission cleared the merger on 24 August 2026 without competition concerns.
