Tours builds new tram Line B between Chambray and La Riche

The new tramway Line B (Line 2) runs about 12.5 km with 22 stations between the termini Papoterie (Chambray-lès-Tours) and Prieuré Saint-Cosme (La Riche), via Tours and Joué-lès-Tours, passing Trousseau and Bretonneau hospitals; in central Tours it shares a section with Line A. Construction began in July 2025, and 19 CAF Urbos trams were ordered in November 2025; opening is planned for 2028. Saint-Pierre-des-Corps is not on the route, which caused local controversy in 2024/25.
