TotalEnergies to acquire Shell's European onshore renewables business

TotalEnergies is acquiring Shell's entire European onshore renewables business: around 500MW of solar and wind capacity in operation or under construction, mainly in Italy and the Netherlands, plus a 3.5GW development pipeline of solar, wind and battery storage projects in Italy, the United Kingdom and Spain — roughly 4GW in total. The purchase price was not disclosed. Completion is expected by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
