The C1 cable car is the first of its kind in the Île-de-France; it links Créteil, Valenton, Limeil-Brévannes and Villeneuve-Saint-Georges and was inaugurated on 13 December 2025. Over 4.5 km and five stations, 105 cabins with ten seats each operate; the journey takes about 18 minutes, against at least 35 by bus, and 11,000 passengers a day are expected. It was built in three years by a consortium led by Doppelmayr France; the infrastructure is funded 49% by the region, 30% by the Val-de-Marne département and 21% by the state and EU, while Île-de-France Mobilités pays for the cabins and operation and Transdev is the operator.
