MODAL Group acquires pressure-equipment specialist SOMAP Technologies

The Modalis Group has operated as MODAL Group since 18 February 2026 and reports several steps taken at the start of the year: to widen its technical know-how it has acquired SOMAP Technologies (Bouches-du-Rhône), a specialist in maintenance, inspection and refurbishment of pressure equipment such as gas cylinders and containers, above all for industrial and cryogenic gases. It has also set up MODALIS Intermodal in the United Kingdom (rental of intermodal equipment) and Air Flow Shanghai Logistics, plans to launch its own rail company TRAIX in 2026 and, with partners, was awarded the logistics management of five inland ports in Lorraine on behalf of the waterways authority VNF. The report gives neither a purchase price nor the takeover date, so the date of the report is used; the group has 250 employees in eight countries and generated more than EUR 100 million in revenue in 2025.
