Barcelona to link Trambaix and Trambesòs via Francesc Macià

Phase 2 of the Diagonal connection is meant to join the separate Trambaix and Trambesòs networks by extending the line from Verdaguer to Francesc Macià via the Diagonal, Balmes and Casanova stops. The preceding phase 1 (Glòries–Verdaguer, 1.8 km) already entered service in November 2024; per Wikipedia, phase 2 construction is expected to start only once that phase was completed. The source gives no firm completion date or cost figures; the tracker lists 2028 as the target horizon.
