IFCO to invest €32.5m in reusable crate washing plant in Alcantarilla

IFCO is building a plant of more than 23,000 m² in the San Andrés industrial estate in Alcantarilla (Murcia region) to wash and prepare reusable crates for fruit and vegetables. Construction is due to start in December 2026; the first phase, with four washing lines and 70 million crates a year, is to open in May 2028 and the second, with eight lines and 140 million, in January 2029.
