Vicens Vives to cut 122 of 250 jobs and close Gráficas Instar

The Catalan educational publisher Vicens Vives, owned by the Sanoma group for six months, has announced a collective redundancy procedure (ERE) for 122 of its 250 employees and plans to close its printing arm Gráficas Instar. Industry sources expect a second ERE for Instar's 21 employees, who are not included in the figure; talks with employee representatives begin in the coming days (La Vanguardia, 27 Oct 2026).
