Burbo Bank wind farm off Liverpool Bay with 90 MW is operational

Burbo Bank Offshore Wind Farm is located in the Irish Sea on the Burbo Flats off Liverpool Bay, near Wirral, United Kingdom. The original phase became operational in July 2007 (officially inaugurated October 2007) with 25 Siemens 3.6 MW turbines and 90 MW installed capacity, at an investment of roughly €181 million. Operator is Ørsted (formerly DONG Energy); the farm was extended by 258 MW in 2017, bringing total capacity to 348 MW.
