bet365 to cut about 340 jobs in Stoke, Malta and Gibraltar

Betting operator bet365 plans to cut about 340 jobs, around 3% of its global workforce: about 300 at its Stoke-on-Trent headquarters and about 40 across its Malta and Gibraltar sites combined. A voluntary redundancy programme comes first before compulsory redundancies are considered; the company cites a highly competitive environment and higher regulatory and tax costs.
