Bicycle maker Accell Hunland in Tószeg becomes insolvent

The plant near Szolnok reported insolvency on 5 August 2026 and production has stopped. VG.hu puts the number of affected employees at about 400, other reports at up to roughly 480; the cause is the situation of the Accell group. Accell was the largest local business-tax payer and the mayor asked local firms to hire laid-off workers (VG.hu, 6 Aug 2026).
