Announced on 22 Oct 2026: Transport Minister Óscar Puente and Catalan president Salvador Illa toured the site, where Adif is preparing the commissioning of all high-speed tracks. Three of the eight standard-gauge tracks have been in use since March 2025; the other five are laid, load tests of the supporting structure are complete, and ERTMS tests and approval by the safety agency AESF follow. Of the €1,260m contract value, over €1,120m has been spent; Adif plans to tender contracts worth more than €340m for the station's architecture and installations this autumn. No opening date for the station is given: elDiario.es named 2031 or 2032 as the earliest in November 2025, so 31 Dec 2031 is a placeholder. The L9 and L10 metro station Sagrera-TAV is a separate entry (4435b43e) (LOK Report, Moncloa, 22 Oct 2026).
