Leeds-based housing contractor Torsion Construction has gone into administration, with James Clark and Howard Smith of Interpath appointed joint administrators. The source gives annual turnover of £165m and 115 staff, of whom "most" have been made redundant — it gives no exact redundancy figure, so the field carries total headcount. Liquidity pressure from delayed capital events, margin pressure and rising costs are cited as causes; the administrators are working through twelve live sites with the project funders. The report says administration began on a Tuesday but gives no calendar date.
