NKT completes expansion of Esposende cable plant, 150 new jobs

NKT marked the completion of the expansion of its Esposende cable plant (formerly SolidAl, acquired in June 2024) with a ceremony on 20 October 2026. The plant makes medium- and high-voltage cables; the expansion brought in more than 150 new employees, and the new capacity will be ramped up gradually over the coming months. The €50m investment figure comes from the company release, which does not date the first announcement of the expansion, so the inauguration is used as the date (NKT, release via Cision, 21 Oct 2026).
