Through its arm EIB Global, the EU tops up the project with a €10m grant, lifting the total investment for ten hospitals, financed by the EU, the EIB and the EBRD, to €72.4m. About 203,000 m² of hospital space is to be renovated by July 2028, cutting energy consumption by around 40%; works have started at the Clinical Psychiatric Hospital and the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery.
