Moldova postpones start of 400 kV Vulcănești–Chișinău line again

The line was originally due to enter service in December 2025 and was finished in mid-2026, with voltage tests already carried out; then a transformer had to be sent to Spain for repairs, returned on 23 or 24 Sep 2026 and was installed. Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu names the end of October to early November 2026 as the latest date given by the contractor; the start has thus been postponed for the sixth time. 1 Nov 2026 is a placeholder; announced on 16 Oct 2026 (Logos Press, 16 Oct 2026).
