Grupo Pascual to close Gurb plant, affecting 80 jobs

Grupo Pascual announced a collective dismissal procedure (ERE) for its plant in Gurb, Catalonia, on 26 June 2026, affecting 80 employees. On 27 July 2026 the company reached agreement with the statutory works representation on severance: 33 days per year of service, or 45 days for contracts predating the 2012 labour market reform — according to the company 65 to 125 percent above the statutory minimum. The plant closes on 31 July 2026 and production moves to the main site in Aranda de Duero (Burgos). The Catalan site passes to Casa Tarradellas, which according to Pascual intends to take on around 90 percent of the workforce; Pascual itself plans to relocate 50 percent of staff to Burgos.
