Berwick Bank Phase B sits in the outer Firth of Forth in the North Sea off East Lothian, Scotland, part of SSE Renewables' overall Berwick Bank project (up to 4.1 GW, up to roughly 300–307 turbines across all three phases). Phase B itself has a capacity of 1,380 MW; the overall project received Scottish Section 36 consent in July 2025, and in January 2026 Phase B secured a 20-year Contract for Difference (£89.49/MWh, 2024 prices) under CfD Allocation Round 7, with a target commissioning date of 31 March 2031; final investment decision (FID) is expected in 2027, and construction has not yet started. Merged (7 Oct 2026): The separately recorded entry 233e91df on the overall project has been folded into this one — its date and contract for difference were already those of this phase (1.38 GW, target 31 Mar 2031).
