Cornelius Electronics to invest EUR 5m in new halls at Edineț, Moldova

The British company Cornelius Electronics plans to invest about EUR 5 million in expanding production at the Edineț industrial park in north-west Moldova: three production halls with a combined floor area of more than 3,000 m² are to make wire harnesses and connection systems used in 14 sectors, including rail transport and renewable energy. The company currently employs 81 people, more than 80% of them women, and supplies only industrial customers in the EU; the expansion was made possible by a memorandum signed by the Invest Moldova Agency, Innovate Moldova and the municipality of Edineț, which changes the park's infrastructure plan.
