Reported (first by Bloomberg, 16 July): betting group Entain (Ladbrokes, Coral, bwin) is cutting around 500 jobs worldwide, about 2% of its workforce, mainly in product, technology and corporate functions. The cuts are driven by higher UK gambling taxes and growing competition from prediction markets.
