Chinese-Spanish joint venture TDG Ibernavitas started its first battery/energy-storage production line at the Plaza industrial park in Zaragoza on 14 July (initial capacity 1.5 GWh/year). Plans foresee over €120m investment and up to 800 direct jobs within five years, with a possible expansion to 5 GWh and a cell factory. Also confirmed by elEconomista and El Español.
