Rheinmetall and the Swiss shipping group MSC won the auction and pay the price jointly; closing is due in a few weeks. The yard is to become a dual-use site for civil and military shipbuilding and the basis for four ships for the Romanian government (two 96 m patrol vessels, two 43 m diving support vessels). The release does not state the split of shares (Rheinmetall, 19 Oct 2026).
