Event
On 4 Oct 2026 the Slovenian government approves the draft state budgets for 2027 and 2028

2027: revenue €17bn, expenditure up to €19.4bn, deficit €2.3bn (2.9% of GDP); 2028: revenue €17.7bn, deficit up to €1.7bn (2% of GDP); no new taxes without relief elsewhere

The drafts follow the 2026-2030 coalition agreement and aim to keep the deficit below 3% of GDP; a balanced budget is expected after 2030. Priorities are growth, fighting corruption, cutting red tape and security; parliament still has to approve them (Government of the Republic of Slovenia, 4 Oct 2026).
