Scroby Sands wind farm off Great Yarmouth with 60 MW is operational

The wind farm sits on the Scroby Sands sandbank in the North Sea, about 2.5 km off Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, in 5-10 m water depth. It comprises 30 Vestas V80 turbines at 2 MW each (60 MW total, roughly EUR 87 million invested), was commissioned in 2004 by Powergen Renewables (E.ON UK) and is now owned by RWE, supplying an estimated 41,000 households.
