Indra invests €18m in As Pontes plant, up to 120 jobs

Spanish technology and defence group Indra is building its second Galician land systems plant in As Pontes for €18 million: around 15,000 m² of built space plus a dedicated test track will go up on a site of more than 50,000 m². It will produce amphibious combat vehicles, bridge-laying vehicles and wheeled artillery systems for the Spanish armed forces. Indra cites 70 to 120 highly qualified direct jobs plus indirect employment at suppliers; the project is part of a wider Indra plan worth more than €200 million, of which only the As Pontes plant has been firmly confirmed so far.
