Publicly owned, advertising-funded British broadcaster Channel 4 announced on 9 September 2026 that it will cut 340 jobs by the end of 2026 — about 28% of its roughly 1,270-strong workforce and the deepest cut in the broadcaster's 43-year history. CEO Priya Dogra cited reducing management layers and duplication; a formal consultation process is beginning (Deadline, 9 September 2026).
