Moldova speeds up construction of 400 kV Strășeni–Gutinaș line

Parliament has passed special procedures for building the roughly 70 km line, which crosses 25 localities in four districts, in first reading: faster permits, simplified expropriation and accelerated clearing. The line is meant to diversify electricity import routes and link the grid more closely to Europe; the US pledged USD 130m for construction in 2025. Completion is planned for 2032 and 31 Dec 2032 is a placeholder; announced on 22 Oct 2026 (Logos Press, 22 Oct 2026).
