The Robin Rigg offshore wind farm is located in the Solway Firth between the Scottish (Galloway) and English (Cumbrian) coasts and was completed on 20 April 2010 (first test power generation on 9 September 2009). It originally comprised 60 Vestas V90-3MW turbines (180 MW); after two turbines were decommissioned in 2015 due to installation-related failures, 58 turbines totalling 174 MW remain operational. It was built and initially operated by E.ON, achieving over 98% availability in its first year of commercial operation.
