Alstom supplies, installs, tests and commissions the complete railway signalling system for the new yard: electronic interlocking, field equipment for point control, trackside light signals and train occupancy detection, all designed to the highest safety integrity level (SIL 4), together with auxiliary subsystems and integration with the existing systems in adjacent areas.
On 15 July 2026 Alstom signed a contract with Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM) for the signalling system of the new Mauá Norte yard, built by CPTM on suburban Line 10-Turquoise. The facility between Mauá and Capuava stations comprises six new tracks for shunting, train formation and stabling of trainsets outside operating hours. The project runs for 18 months and includes installation, testing, commissioning and integration with existing systems; the contract value was not disclosed.
