Flanders approves Antwerp port expansion adding 7m TEU capacity

The Government of Flanders approved the draft decision for the CCL project in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges: a second tidal dock beside Deurganck Dock, a new container terminal, a logistics zone and a dedicated rail freight yard. The 7 million TEU of added capacity equals about 50% of today's 13.5m TEU throughput; the public consultation runs until 10 August 2026 and the final decision is still pending.
