GSK to cut up to 1,217 jobs in Belgium

On 14 October 2026 GSK told a special works council about a restructuring in Belgium that would remove 1,217 jobs at its Walloon sites in Wavre, Rixensart and Gembloux, including 482 office and 735 managerial positions; blue-collar workers are exempt and the cuts are to run over two years. R&D, production and international support functions are affected; GSK employs about 8,500 people in Belgium.
