The director of the Krk LNG terminal, Ivan Fugaš, told broadcaster HRT on 25 Jul 2026 that the expansion depends on Plinacro building about 250 km of new gas pipelines; afterwards about 1 billion m³ of additional gas will reach the market. The extra capacity is due to start in the second quarter of 2027; 30 Jun 2027 is a placeholder. He says the terminal has so far been well supplied despite the Middle East conflict.
