According to an HPB stock exchange filing of 17 Jul 2026, the Croatian competition authority AZTN found that the purchase of Croatia Banka is not a prohibited concentration. In March 2026 HPB had agreed with the Deposit Insurance Agency DAB to buy its entire stake for €15m, and HPB shareholders approved in April. Croatia Banka has total assets of about €275m, HPB about €7.2bn (end of March); further approvals and closing are still pending (PYMNTS/CPI citing SeeNews, 19 Jul 2026).
