DNB, Norway's largest bank, is cutting around 400 full-time positions as part of a wide-ranging reorganisation of its Technology & Services division. The bank attributes the move to its use of agentic AI, which now handles previously manual work, notably customer data checks (KYC) as well as software development and coding. Restructuring costs will be booked in the fourth quarter of 2026, the reduction is to be completed in the same quarter and the full cost effect is expected from the second quarter of 2027 (DNB, stock exchange announcement, 06.10.2026).
