The Rhaetian Railway is rebuilding the station for its timetable concept and accessibility: house and outer platforms over 225 m long for three coupled Capricorn trains with level boarding, a pedestrian underpass, straightened curves (line speed from 55 to 65 km/h) and a better interchange with the postbus. The municipality of Safiental contributes about CHF 1m. Announced on 16.10.2026; the date 15.12.2028 is derived from 'mid-December 2028' (LOK Report, 16.10.2026).
