Globus cuts 48 jobs at its Zurich head office

Globus is cutting 48 of 150 jobs at its Zurich headquarters (32%). Affected: administration and management (not the 1,200 employees in department stores/logistics). Reason: despite revenue growth and improved margins in 2025, there is still a loss of ~CHF 30 mn/year. Centralisation: management/support functions (procurement, marketing, IT) are being relocated abroad (to the parent company's European department-store business in Italy, among others). Goal: to be in the black by 2027. Socially responsible solutions are planned (early retirements, a social plan). The branch network remains unchanged.
