Hungary downgrades Chinese electrolyte plant in Szolnok from priority status

Removing the priority-investment status makes permitting harder for KunlunChem Hungary Kft.'s battery-electrolyte plant near Szolnok/Abony; according to the report no environmental permit application had been filed anyway.

The Hungarian government has stripped Chinese group KunlunChem's planned battery-electrolyte plant near Szolnok/Abony of its priority-investment status (reported on 17 July). This removes fast-track procedural advantages; according to Portfolio.hu no formal environmental permitting procedure had been initiated so far — a setback for another battery-supply project in Hungary.
