Alibaba Cloud plans data centres in the Netherlands, Finland and Turkey

First Alibaba Cloud regions in the Netherlands and Finland, plus expansion of existing capacity in Germany and France. No investment amount or capacity was disclosed.

Alibaba Cloud plans to open data centres in the Netherlands, Finland and Turkey over the next twelve months, the first of them in the Netherlands as early as October 2026. It will also expand existing capacity in Germany and France among other markets, international business head Li Feifei announced on 23 Sep 2026 at the Apsara Conference in Hangzhou; locations, investment volume and capacity were not specified (South China Morning Post, 23 Sep 2026).
