Ahold Delhaize is taking over Tesco's entire business in Czechia and Slovakia, with more than 360 own stores, over 100 franchise stores, about €3.5bn in sales and more than 14,000 employees. Enterprise value is about €1.2bn (around €1.7bn including lease liabilities); Ahold Delhaize is already present in Czechia with Albert, while Slovakia would be a new market.
